Lloyd Pye

Lloyd Pye (1946–2013) was an American researcher, author, and lecturer known for his work on alternative human origins, ancient intervention theories, and the possibility of non-human involvement in human development. Trained originally in psychology and systems analysis, Pye became a prominent figure in fringe anthropology and ancient history through his efforts to challenge mainstream evolutionary narratives.

Pye is best known for his book Everything You Know Is Wrong (2007), in which he argued that modern humans did not arise solely through natural evolutionary processes. Instead, he proposed that humanity is the result of deliberate genetic manipulation performed by an advanced non-human intelligence in deep antiquity. Drawing on Sumerian texts, comparative anatomy, genetics, and anomalies in the fossil record, Pye positioned his work as a systematic critique of orthodox evolutionary theory.

Central to Pye’s argument was the claim that humans display numerous biological inconsistencies that do not align well with gradual natural selection. He pointed to structural weaknesses in the human musculoskeletal system, difficulties with childbirth, extensive genetic disorders, and the unique fusion of human chromosome 2 as indicators of artificial intervention. According to Pye, these traits suggest a rapid redesign rather than slow adaptation, consistent with a trial-and-error engineering process.

Pye frequently referenced ancient Mesopotamian records describing the Anunnaki, interpreting them not as symbolic deities but as technologically advanced beings who altered an existing hominid species to create a compliant worker class. In his framework, humans were engineered to be intelligent enough to function but limited enough to remain controllable. He argued that this model better explains humanity’s cognitive potential alongside its apparent psychological and biological constraints.

Beyond authorship, Lloyd Pye was an active public speaker and co-founder of the Starchild Project, which investigated a controversial skull claimed to exhibit non-human characteristics.

Whether accepted or rejected, Pye’s contributions remain influential within discussions of ancient intervention, forbidden archaeology, and the limits of mainstream scientific explanation.
