Edgar Cayce

Edgar Cayce (1877–1945), often called the “Sleeping Prophet,” was an American mystic, healer, and psychic renowned for his trance-based readings, in which he provided guidance on health, spirituality, reincarnation, and metaphysical principles. Cayce entered a self-induced trance state, during which he claimed to access a higher level of consciousness, offering detailed insights that he himself often did not consciously remember afterward.

Cayce’s readings covered a wide range of subjects, from holistic health remedies and interpretations of dreams to guidance on spiritual growth, karma, and the evolution of the soul. He emphasized the unity of body, mind, and spirit, teaching that personal transformation arises through alignment with higher principles, ethical living, and service to others. Many of his insights presaged or paralleled later developments in psychology, holistic medicine, and metaphysical thought.

Among his lasting contributions is the establishment of the Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.), which continues to preserve, study, and disseminate his work. Cayce’s readings have been collected into thousands of transcripts, and while they are often practical and advisory, they also touch deeply on cosmology, reincarnation, and spiritual laws, revealing patterns of consciousness and human potential.

For readers exploring consciousness, healing, and metaphysical inquiry, Edgar Cayce represents a bridge between experiential spirituality and practical guidance. His work demonstrates that higher states of awareness can inform everyday life, offering methods and insights that integrate spiritual understanding with tangible action.
